O ministro do gabinete de guerra de Israel, Benny Gantz, anunciou sua renúncia neste domingo, 9, depois de ter ameaçado deixar o cargo no mês passado devido à falta de uma estratégia pós-guerra para a Faixa de Gaza.

"Estamos deixando o governo de unidade com o coração pesado", disse Gantz em um discurso televisionado.

Após a renúncia de Benny Gantz, o primeiro-ministro israelense, Benjamin Netanyahu, se pronunciou e declarou que "não é hora de abandonar a batalha", a

"Israel está envolvido em uma guerra existencial em várias frentes. Benny, não é hora de abandonar a batalha, é hora de unir nossas forças", disse Netanyahu na rede social X, minutos depois de Gantz discursar.
